More On Loss and This Meditation
Maybe we can find a way to not suffer through the death of what we loved by understanding how that love is beyond a physical form.
Maybe we can look at death as a change of the container that held the essence you loved. I know for me when I tapped into my feelings of loss I also found deep anger at no longer having what had been so close to my heart all of my life as well as layers of shock and self-pity.
What I needed to do for me was figure out how something made of pure love could actually disappear. I understood on a conscious level us humans are in constant change and the levels of love we allow to flow through us thus change as well. I picture it as each of us is like a sifter allowing love to flow through us. When we are wounded or constricting somewhere in our hearts this then blocks the space love can then flow through. So of course it has no reason to do with if you are worthy or not. Still, my question was if that vessel blocks the love from reaching us where does it then flow through then?
This meditation was my answer. It comes in all different forms and vessels. It is beyond death and the temporary physical form. One of my favorite quotes that comes to mind is something I read on Instagram. I lost the exact quote in my feed and couldn’t find it again. However, this quote below is the essence of its meaning which is what stuck with me.
I saw the reflection of my beloved in your eyes and when you left I thought I had lost it, but found that it had been in me all along. That light was simply a reflection of what’s inside meUnkown
